Under Gov. Perry’s terms in office, illegal immigration in Texas has exploded, second only to California. As Gov. Brewer in Arizona has demonstrated, a Governor can effect positive change in dealing with the issue. This indicates (to me) that Perry is either ineffective with dealing with the problem or he doesn’t consider illegal immigration a problem at all.
The court stopped the law in Arizona. And Texas is joining Arizona in defending their right as a State to make their own law.
Texas spends our own money to do the Feds’ job. Ask the Border Patrol about the limits in their mission, as defined by the Feds.
