I absolutely believe that McCain was chosen to run against Obama and was never meant to win. I believe that Sarah was chosen because few had heard of her.

To be honest some have said Sarah owes Mac for picking her to be VP nomination. In away she does BUT here is the kicker for me Sarah Palin was destine to be in the lower 48 it just happen a little earlier than expected.

Goes back to what my Chinese defector friend told me years ago. In broken English, he said "we just think we choose our President."

Now that was years ago. So I argued with him vehemently. But he held his ground. Today, especially since Obama, I think he might have a point. Do we really have a say? I know we vote, but we vote for the one pre-chosen by those with money, power, and influence. Most of the time, we must hold our nose to vote. Sick of it.
