Only the doofi believe that one. The financial reality is there is no money in the so-called trust fund. Benefits have to be paid right now by collecting taxes or borrowing the money. The 2037 or 2025 or whatever is a lie just like Perry said. Social Security is in the red right now.

This post says it all. You want Perry, you get amnesty. Actually, you want anyone, your probably going to get amnesty. SS can only be funded for much longer by documenting all the underboard workers. Or pushing them back into their countries. Which is going to happen?

Allow me to add this question: if "economists of all [all?] stripes" believe that, then why was a certain Barry Obama telling us it would stop paying out in 2011 if the debt ceiling weren't raised?
