I cannot abide the f**king idiots that claim that Exxon didn’t pay taxes last year. That is flat out false. A five second Google search led me to their 10K (Annual Report). that shows that Exxon paid $21.561 BILLION in income taxes and $89.2 BILLION in total taxes (income, sales, and other taxes). That jackass was flat out lying.

I have to disagree with Rush on one point. The middle class most certainly pay taxes. Unless I’m considered one of the “rich”, which would be laughable.
And it’s BS corporations don’t pay taxes. We are the highest taxed in the world.
And any new taxes are passed on to the consumer...I wish Rush would also say that.

Right. I think he’s defining middle class lower than it is. But his point that 47% of the people don’t pay any federal income taxes is true. Now, where do we draw the middle? I am part of the 53% who pays, I aboslutely know this, and I don’t think I’m upper class or rich, that’s for sure.
But probably that caller would call me rich. He’d be wrong, but that’s what democrats think.

Rush mis-stated the definition of the workforce on his show today. It is all public record with what he does, the burden of being 99.6% right. Today he was wrong. So what, I still love the guy.

Exactly! Another thing some don’t realize is that corporations are merely a group of people who all pay taxes on their earnings. I have these arguments with people locally all the time.

Corporations collect taxes from their customers, which they pass along to the government, which then bashes them for being greedy.
Whenever someone starts hating on the “rich”, I ask them if it’s okay for anyone making less than they do to hate them?
The “rich” are usually someone who makes more than you do.
The enforcement was common law. Not via the moderator. Educated conservatives who wanted the site to be intelligent policed their own.
