DES MOINES, Iowa -- Though she won't be a candidate when she delivers a major address at a tea party rally in Iowa on Saturday, Sarah Palin will make it clear that she if enters the presidential race later this month she will vociferously challenge Texas Gov. Rick Perrys engrained image of solidarity with the tea party movement.
In her speech at the bucolic National Balloon Classic field in Indianola, Palin will lean on loaded phrases like crony capitalism and permanent political class in laying out her view of the U.S. political systems deep-rooted ills, according to a source close to Palin and familiar with the content of the speech.
Though she will not call Perry out by name, Palins carefully couched rhetoric will leave the impression that she may soon draw more overt attention to one of the Texans potential vulnerabilities as a candidate: his history of doling out plum positions and other benefits to generous campaign donors during his nearly 11-year tenure as the nations longest serving governor.

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals-if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is."
Ronald Reagan, 1975
“Sarah Palin is proving to be a hustle. She creates great expectations and then lets down.”
Examples please?????
PS don’t bother posting your usual spin nonsence.....
“Sarah requires neither admonishment nor correction. Sarah has stayed “on message” in regards to “Crony Capitalism” since the time she endorse Perry in the Spring of 2010.”
I did not mean Palin should be “admonished.” What I meant is IF she were to take a “swipe” at Perry as the article says it would be to admonish or correct him...not destroy him. Is that clearer?
However, I don’t see her taking a “swipe” at him. I do not rule out her running for office though. She dances to her own music.
I have given up trying to predict what she may do in regards to running - and I don’t know who she would endorse IF she doesn’t run. However, based upon her good character, I don’t think she is in the taking a “swipe” business at any true conservative....unless it was to keep that conservative on the straight and narrow.
“..She quit as governor of Alaska; her TV show was short lived either by cancellation or non-renewal; a movie about her bombed as did a recent book about her. The way shes been running around lately and her supposed bus tour or whatever that farce was gives the appearance that she has absolutely no idea of her direction .”
I’m surprized anyone still has the chutzpah to post that kind of drivel......spin, spin, spin......keep it up and you’ll only get dizzier!
And so can Palin. Analyze the current contenders and decide if the sacrifice is worth the run or if there is someone already in the lineup who would do the job you want to get done. If it appears no one already running is up to your standards then step up to the plate and make the sacrifice. Its a good strategy.
Since she has become a national figure, can you define the difference between running and speaking vs. announcing, running and speaking ?
I don’t see that her dalliance will pay any dividends.

While in the pure sense, all conservatives have a “libertarian” streak in them. They have nothing in common with the “Libertarian Party” which has ruined the meaning of the word. Even Ronald Reagan would shun the word IF in his time it had come to carry the conotations it has today. Most of us conservative are little “l” libertarians. We are not the anarchist big “L” libertarians (libertines actually) that the word is more closely associated with.
Did I lie?
I can never get through to Rush.
So you think shes running? I personally take her at her word that she is still considering but hasnt made the final decision. >> I dont see that her dalliance will pay any dividends.<<
Difference to what? No one, other then her perhaps, knows whether shes running or not. Its only the prognosticators, pundits, and Projectionists who are making statements one way or the other.
like what for example?
crazy grandma is a Perry shill.
“Did I lie?”
That’s not the question! It’s “...did you tell the whole truth?”
You didn’t.
And so I’m not allowed to have an opinion ?
That’s a mighty fine hair you split.
I doubt very much Sarah told anyone the contents of her speech- where are they getting this? That was my first thought. She's not Obama, who has to have the speech programmed on a teleprompter before he can make it.
Of course you can. Which group are you in? Prognosticators, pundits, or Projectionists?
I’m comforted that you’re so generous to an old peddler.
Like her comment after Perry announced pointing out that he had said he wasn’t going to run. Her comment prior to Perry’s announcement on how he’d run the debt up in Texas. For example.
