Rick Perry's campaign just responded to the attack ad that a pro-Michele Bachmann super PAC unveiled last night, which it is airing in South Carolina, and which hits him on his spending record as Texas governor:
Gov. Perry is a proven fiscal conservative, having cut taxes, signed six balanced budgets, and led Texas to become Americas top job-creating state, said Ray Sullivan, RickPerry.orgs communications director. Congresswoman Bachmanns front-group ad is patently and provably false. Unlike Washington, the Texas budget is balanced, does not run deficits and limits spending, even as Texas added jobs and population in big numbers.

And I suppose we should ignore Perry’s having been a democrat, chairing Gore’s reelection campaign, supporting Gore’s global warming fraud, signing a hate speech bill into law(most often used by demrats to silence opponents) and proponency for open borders.
No sir, your comment is one of the more pitiful non-defenses I’ve ever seen.
No need to guess if she said it or not.
Go look at the Backmann PAC ad for yourself.
The link is posted in post 34 of this thread.
PS, Be prepared to laugh. It is absolutely corny too.
Personal attack? I merely pointed out that your point about Perry could easily be turned back on Palin. IF you are so concerned that Perry took federal money, then you should be equally concerned about Palin’s record. If calling you one of Palin’s chief supporters is a “personal attack”, then I think that says more about how you view your candidate than you would like to admit.
Well, well CajunConservstive again. Are you telling me it wasn’t those with the alleged experience that got us into the mess we’re in today?
Oh, and who is the masterfully experienced executive you have in mind?
You can always vote third party, or even start a new one if the others are too compromised. No one will question your moral integrity then.
It's probably better to go to the Almighty with a clear conscience on your shoulders and an unbroken reign of Democrat rule at your back. There's no difference between 4 more years of Barack Obama and 4 years of Rick Perry, so why worry?
Oh, did you really want a real example of her gaffs?
I was not the one who posted that comment, but I do have ONE example of sloppiness.
How about this letter from the Federal Elections Commission itemizing all the sloppy errors in her year end report from her Bachmann for Congress campaign, Year End Report 2009?

We already have a diva drama queen in office. We don’t need another one.
Out of the candidates running, the obvious answer is Rick Perry. Texas is doing well in spite of the Marxist dictator wannabe’s war on jobs.
My point was also true, and since you raised the topic of federal dollars, also on topic. If we are going to examine how a candidate deals with the issue of federal money to the states, let;s look at all of them. Is it now the rule on FR that we can examine the records of all candidates EXCEPT Sarah?
To watch these so called "conservatives" on FR wet themselves over him is strangely disturbing.
That's okay; for the rest of us, watching you extreme Palinstinians engage in your ritual of mutual mental masturbation is disturbing.
Normy,
I guess I have to say I was wrong in my assumption. A few HAVE figured a way to bicker here! LOL However, I think most can see this really is not about Palin or Perry. This is about Michele Bachmann and Michele Bachmann only.
At least I can report Tempest has stood above the crowd, perhaps after calling for the crazies at the beginning, but he held his head high later in the thread anyway. :)
Thank you Tempest. I respect your professionalism here.
All in all, no matter what candidate we like the best or what one we wish would win the nomination, I believe we should ALL be saddened to see the lessinging of integrity and character by one who was once a wonderful representative of conservatism, Michele Bachmann.
I guess it is true that the pull of dishonesty and greed is very strong in politics and maybe TOO strong for those who want so badly to rise in the process.
Didn't you get enough of your daily dose of this fraud today?
Did he shoot a coyote again? Ride a horse? Talk southern?
Wait....Wait......
Just who the hell do you think you’re talking to? I didn’t say a damn word to you. I didn’t bring up Sarah Palin. You wanna call someone names and be a raving lunatic, go right ahead, but don’t aim your freaking blanks at me. I ain’t your daisy, dude.
My BIL is in the solar industry (making converters) Several of the big solar outfits have either gone out of business or declared backrupcy.
The reason: China is making solar panels and such for a well below market price.
China is the problem not Perry.
Guess that word should have been "lessening"
Sorry.
Begging your pardon, but the problem isn’t China, the problem is the actual generation of solar power is only viable when the government subsidizes it heavily. Crony capitalism that doesn’t work at its finest........
It's also just possible she thought she had to hit Perry with whatever she had. See if it stuck. She has dropped pretty quickly lately. I look forward to the up coming debate.
I also remember reading a thread here a couple of days ago mentioning Mitts path to the nomination was to have Bachmann go after Perry leaving him above the fray. At the time I thought it was ridiculous but the debates will tell the tale. I saw Perry against KBH, he doesn't waste time on nonsense, he makes his comment about the accusation and moves on to his point.
