Texas is on fire again. But Resident decides not to declare a disaster.

K. The yanks can do without just like us.

Turn about is fair play.

Guess who survives better without assistance from the fed?

War isn't about who is right. War is about who survives. Check your place in that TO&E.

I’m as fiscally conservative as anyone, but to say we can do without is utter B.S. A mandate to protect is what this country is about.

11 towns in VT are entirely cut off from the outside world, the village center in my town was wiped out, we are low on food and fuel. No clean water or sewage in the village.

The national guard is here trying to rebuild 1 lane out of our small town so our EMS services can access a hospital, our police station was destroyed and fire house flooded.

This community has worked non stop since sunday with mostly volunteers to provide services, make roads passible for EMS crews and provide safety. Many contractors are using their resources ( equipment, material ) to get the job done.

To say to us “let them eat cake” is absurd when the Mississippi river valley floods yearly and is allowed to rebuild in the flood plane with the blessing from Washington, and subsidized by federal flood insurance.

The next time Galvaston or the Texas gulf coast is wiped out I hope you’ll be down there with your excavator or dump truck volunteering to clean up and be out there pounding your fist to make sure no federal money is spent
