As usual, this is not Darwin's theory.
Evolutionary biology predates Darwin and was first observed and reported by Christians.
Good stuff and very true! Is Ann single? wow...I am good looking too.. : )
Then does that not constitute a “belief” rather than a “theory?”
Well just about anybody can call themselves 'Christian', but any learned follower of Christ knows full well there is no such thing as 'evolutionary biology'... 'the flesh'. The 'soul/spirit intellect' is still the same since its creation eons ago.
Which? Punctuated equilibrium or ‘evolutionary terminalism’?
“Evolutionary Biology”: The theory and practice of constructing assertions about living organisms that are immune to experimental verification. ;o)
Welllll, as it is Written the flesh is only 'alive' as long as the 'breath of life' (means soul/spirit) has not returned to the Maker that sent it. And the whole cult of Darwin readily admits they have no ability to test what their flesh eyes cannot see. The TOE attempts to removed the individuality from each and every created life.
Gould’s postulate that evolution is ongoing without identifying “good enough.”
It’s a theory he believes has merit.

404, dude.
Sharks and crocodiles are ancient forms that succeeded and survive today. The museums are full of animals that are extinct. What failures are you talking about.
Headline and first four paragraphs:
Leading geneticist Steve Jones says human evolution is over
Julia Belluz
Human evolution is grinding to a halt because of a shortage of older fathers in the West, according to a leading genetics expert.
Fathers over the age of 35 are more likely to pass on mutations, according to Professor Steve Jones, of University College London.
Speaking today at a UCL lecture entitled Human evolution is over Professor Jones will argue that there were three components to evolution natural selection, mutation and random change. Quite unexpectedly, we have dropped the human mutation rate because of a change in reproductive patterns, Professor Jones told The Times.
Human social change often changes our genetic future, he said, citing marriage patterns and contraception as examples. Although chemicals and radioactive pollution could alter genetics, one of the most important mutation triggers is advanced age in men.
The French thought the Maginot Line had “merit”’ too.
i.e. So?
You have to admit that’s a pretty gaping oversight for such a dogmatic commentator.
So has it been your intention to defend punctuated equilibrium or criticize it? Your comment “How are you dismissing equalibria” gave the impression you were defending it, but now it’s not so clear.
The billions of random failures the should be in the fossil recored. Or, did some species just know how to evolve positively, and others like the dodo couldn’t figure it out?
If so, how does that happen?
Of course it does. Without origin of life, evolutionary theory is faulty in its premise.
Nope, still getting 404, but I’m familiar with the story from your blurb.
Even so, it’s certainly a condition Gould should have explored if he were arrogating to himself the “voice of science” as he so clearly intended.
Incorrect. The theory of evolution does not postulate where/how life began.
This is NOT completely accurate. THE TOE is what has evolved and it has only been recent years this claim has become the claimed dogma. Every TOE show on the tube begins with the postulation of a 'hot' steamy sex pot of primordial soup.
