You really can't fathom why even a professional black woman who grew up in the South at a time of segregation would have some emotion over the first election of a black person to the presidency?

She may also have been breathing a sigh of relief the insane John McCain hadn't become president.

The bottom line of 2008: no matter which was elected, American would've lost.

As a professional diplomat, she's going to say diplomatic things about her immediate successor.
