The Palin source said O'Donnell's representatives misled the tea party group about the extent of the governor's relationship with O'Donnell.
O'Donnell's representatives told event organizers that she would be in Iowa on the date of the rally and would like to come by and "say hi" to Palin, the source said. O'Donnell was then added to the speaking agenda.
The source told CNN that O'Donnell aides lied to organizers and said Palin had been communicating via text message with O'Donnell about the rally.
"The governor hasn't spoken to her in a year," the Palin source said of O'Donnell

Crow is just another squishy self-promotor that happens to be a Perry-bot.
But it’s true that only Sarah and Todd knows for certain what their decisions are....so I question a story that says Crow knows for certain what they are doing, especially not running or running
Thanks Glocklady. Good stuff, especially for Allah. :)
I think there may be even more to this but I can’t prove it. It involves an anecdote I picked up last night from someone I respect who met one of the event organizers last year.
No need for the umpty-umpth Palin flame war today. Suffice to say there may be more to this story than meets the eye although I believe COD foolishly tried to inject herself into this.
Please show me in what you posted that Crow was a Perry supporter? It says he was thinking about becoming one in the near future.
So...show me where I misrepresented anything.
Interesting update: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/palin-2012-crafty-chaotic/story?id=14424027&page=2
This link is for page two, but also read page 1.
“Crow said Singleton told him they needed to get a security team together because Palin is “threatened more than President Obama is.” According to Crow, Singleton instructed the Tea Party of America to not only get a security team, but also get bomb sniffing dogs and make sure there are two exits out of the event for Palin; he also reportedly requested a jumbotron and that the rally had to be in a “bucolic setting.”
Crow said it was at that point he and Tea Party of America president Charlie Gruschow realized the rally was a “major undertaking,” but they completed the list of demands.
But when SarahPAC touched base with the group, only recently, Crow told them they had security lined up and the bomb sniffing dogs were ready to go. Palin’s team informed Crow that Singleton doesn’t speak for Palin and her team and they actually had their own security and transportation lined up.”
“Crow said all SarahPAC requested was “a bale of hay, a bullhorn, and other people talking at the rally.” Crow said that Palin herself didn’t seem upset at the “mistakes” he admitted were made and instead passed word through her advance staffers, Jason Recher and Doug McMarlin, that she was excited to meet him and especially wanted to meet his 72-year-old mother...”
My favorite theory on the Crow statement, so far, is that either Crow is just outright lying, or Sarah figured out he was a covert agent for Perry and fed him deliberate disinformation to expose him. Hence his ill-founded certainty.
Crow is not a Palin supporter. That is false.
Crow supports Perry. If he is “thinking” about supporting Perry and trying to sabotage Palin as he clearly did here, he supports Perry at least operationally if not explicitly.
Very interesting photo of Rick Perry and Ken Crow conversing this past weekend just turned up at Conservatives 4 Palin...wonder what they might have been chatting about?
Bump your comments to the top.
I also believe that COD tried to selfishly inject herself into the preplanned TEA PARTY MEGA EVENT!
“Sarah figured out he was a covert agent for Perry”
Sarah figured that out all right.
Only con-men on this site are still trying to portray Crow as a Palin supporter. What a crock.
And don't accuse me of being misleading. I was going on actual articles that have consistently referred to Crow as a Palin supporter. As he describes himself.
The Perry stuff is pure speculation. At least be honest enough to admit you're making it up.
Ken must have been giving Rick the bad news about his undying support for Palin this past Saturday when they got together...
How is this guy to blame for this fiasco? This article clearly cites that the person lying and sabotaging was O'Donnell.
The source told CNN that O'Donnell aides lied to organizers and said Palin had been communicating via text message with O'Donnell about the rally.
What specifically did Crow do here other than put together an event that he thought would excite the crowd? He could have just not invited Palin if he disliked her so much.
This photo showing Texas Gov. Rick Perry talking to Ken Crow was taken Saturday by Lisa Krantz of the San Antonio News-Express at a Polk County (Iowa) GOP fundraising event in Des Moines.
Crow and Perry look pretty chummy in that photo together from last Saturday...
Ping.
I was wondering how long it would take for that phototo turn up...thank you, ma’am!
“And don’t accuse me of being misleading.”
You are not being misleading. You are dissembling. And I am being generous in calling it that. By the way, if the shoe fits, wear it.
You do Perry no favors here on FR by posting disinformation. It just highlights the slipperiness of your candidate, who seems to me to be a cornpone version of Mitt Romney sans the moral squint. Or a Texas version of Bill CLinton sans the brains.
Go back and read what I've posted. I said that Palin bears no responsibility for any of this mess. Nor do I believe it harms her.
I don't easily buy into every conspiracy just because it may appeal to some preconceived notion. You should try it sometime.
