Nice revisionist history there. Gore was VERY left-wing in 1988, I was one of his constituents and remember him well (how his campaign schtick didn’t match his nutty votes). Perry was never a Conservative, just an opportunist (and let us not forget he was a Rove recruit). His endorsement of Rudy in ‘08 was more proof positive of that.
The country would have better off if Rudy was the nominee instead of McCain. But you would probably still rather have obami.
