Porn has become accepted as "healthy and normal" and "leaked" into society in the things you've named. It degrades relationships and how people look at one another.

There may have been porn throughout history but never has it been so prevalent and accepted as now.

Something of note: In the book 1984, Big Brother used porn to amuse the masses away from the people’s caring about what his government was doing. It was part of prolefeed.
