Texas Governor Rick Perry has been among the most vocal critics of President Obamas health care reform initiative, and of Mitt Romneys preceding health care program in Massachusetts. But in 1993, while serving as Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Perry praised the efforts of then-first lady Hillary Clinton to reform health care, a precursor to Obamas health care reform efforts.
In a letter to Clinton, who is now U.S. Secretary of State, Perry wrote: I think your efforts in trying to reform the nations health care system are most commendable.
I would like to request that the task force give particular consideration to the needs of the nations farmers, ranchers, and agriculture workers, and other members of rural communities, Perry continued, noting his administrations focus on economic development for rural Texans. Rural populations have a high proportion of uninsured people, rising health care costs, and often experience lack of services.
Again, your efforts are worthy, Perry concluded, and I hope you will remember this constituency as the task force progresses.

>>> So funny how thats the ONLY thing Palin haters have is the SAME LINE over and over and over and over and they choose to remain ignorant to the FACTS & reasons.... <<<
Perry supporters don’t “hate Palin”. We are simply FOR Perry. Sarah is not a contender. The Perry bashing is based entirely on your problem, in that Sarah can’t win when squat from the bench. Perry supporters don’t have that problem, care less whether she runs, and the difference shows. In spades.

“While a bunch of politicians have gone to Washington, hat in hand, seeking a bailout, Governor Perry has said we should stimulate the economy with tax cuts and maintain spending discipline. Rick Perry is true to conservative principles even when others think the party needs to go a different direction. I like that about him: he doesn’t care which way the wind blows, he acts on his beliefs.” - Sarah Louise Palin

I know. They’ve also started pre-emptively trying to silence dissent by openly ridiculing any potential opposing opinions in the first few posts of every Perry thread.

So NOW, Perry supporting consertives are not only pro-amnesty but Pro-universal health care also. Nice, by the time all the truths about Perry come out, they’ll full fledged liberals from having to jump on board to defend all his liberal ideals. Ha!

That’s funny, coming from you. You show up on every Palin thread to see how many digs you can get in. I’ve never seen you post a civil word about the woman.

Clearly, Palin and I disagree on this point.

Wait wait wait..
Well I respect Sarah Palin and with her having to personally deal with Rick Perry at these governors conferences, she would know better than I.
I take Sarah Palin at her word that Rick Perry is a strong conservative. That’s good enough for me to support him for President.
To: Jess79
That is probably the first time you disagreed with anything about Sarah Palin.
To: rjeffries
Well, ok, let’s not have any elections then. Just let the polls decide. Yes, that makes sense. AND since WHEN do so many conservatives put so much stock into polls??? PLEASE. Has history taught you all NOTHING? Polls are liberal propaganda. PERIOD.

Let's see - this letter was written in April of 1993. The details of the HilaryCare plan were not revealed until the fall of 1993. Here we see the Agriculture Commissioner of Texas asking Hilary to take the needs of rural farmers and ranchers into consideration of any health reform plan she develops, a plan that was originally
advertised as away to control costs, not impose national health care.
Wow, what a smoking gun! Obviously, Perry supports socialized health care! /sarcasm

I like and respect Sarah Palin. She has told me that Rick Perry is a good strong conservative governor. Who else am I going to vote for?
Either you respect her opinion on this matter or you don’t.
To: DrewsMum
Your beaten horse is dead now. You have missed the realities of the health care crisis entirely, have no clue about the facts on the ground for sane border/immigration policy and generally find abhorrent anything approaching intellectual honesty. Sarah has NOT disagreed with Rick Perry on immigration, or actually anything else. She is likely to endorse him. And cheerfully. Who else is there?

Bachmann has never praised anything about Hillary. You're right she hasn't. Bachman also hasn't got a chance of ousting the commie in our White House. I do believe Palin has praised Hillary.
To: rjeffries
The same way Palin fanatics defend her from cutting and running from office? Fanatics? Common sense is "fanatic?"

In 1993, health insurance was sky rocketing. Some of us long wished that it would be addressed by our side. O’Rly? You were for HillaryCare?
