The man is not eloquent.

The "Great Speaker" Big Lie has been reported and repeated so often that it has become the stuff of "Urban Legend." The guy has a level of skill at telepromptering that is lower than that shown by many small-station weather girls. He has worked diligently at mastering the one-teleprompter technique, so that now he at least occasionally looks into the cameras, instead of using the contact-avoiding reptilian head movement that characterized his first 18 months in office.

His speeches are very well planned psycho-gibberish, into which he has obviously had precisely no input. There is no message beyond "I am the President. Adore and honor me."

All Obama speeches are essentially the same, and include the use of neuro-linguistic programming: repeated phrases, timed cadences, emphatic stresses - voice UP... voice down, and pregnant pauses. His message is always focused around the necessity of trusting and believing in him, and distrusting and disbelieving in "the other". And it's all perfectly scripted of course, because as we have learned, Obama could not ad lib a fart after a Boston Baked Bean dinner.
