Haven’t seen the movie yet about Palin...will hold judgment until I do.

That is probably the wisest course of action.

At least she isn’t a kept man.

How on earth could *she* be a kept *man* anyway?

You went there being ugly about a lady who is accomplished all on her own.

Saying she's good looking for a DEM/RINO is being ugly?

I commented about the hair because it looks brittle. I would guess either too many treatments, or stress, or even hypothyroidism (I've known other women at work who were about her age range, and had hypothyroidism, and their hair had that lifeless, non-vibrant texture).

I find it funny how you throw that RINO term at her when Todd Palin is a card carrying union member. You remember that being used as a good thing on the campaign trail?

I already explained on another thread how Limbaugh pointed out that the wives of many high Republicans are well to the left of their husbands. And Perry is to the left on globalism (Trans-Texas Corridor would've had a SPANISH company pocketing the tolls), on government control of medicine, on Federal programs (Medicare funding for Gardasil), on open borders, and quoted the Koran in a speech.

Not to mention getting started as a Dem and running the Texas Gore campaign (in 1988 when Reagan was still President, why would ANY conservative alive back the Dems over Reagan's VP? Bush hadn't been swindled by Congress yet on taxes), OR pushing for Guiliani in 2008.

He's no conservative.

As far as the unions, Reagan pulled in the Reagan Democrats including union folks by pushing for conservative family values and a strong America with a strong economy. Palin reaches out to the union rank-and-file and saves her criticism for the corrupt union bosses (cf her Madison Wisconsin "Mr. President, Game ON!" speech).

Perry is backed by a bunch of Texas multimillionaires / billionaires which will be EASY for Obama and the press to demagogue to his base; and panders to the inflow of illegals which undermine both union blue collar labor AND the jobs for working-class blacks. Couple that with his being from Texas, and to the Dems, he's George Bush with a KKK hood on.

Notice that after all the hate including death threats, jokes about rape by black men, jokes on national TV by TV hosts in their official capacity, on the air, about her daughters being the subject of statutory rape, and getting pregnant, by a professional athlete -- NOBODY has tried to use the race card against Sarah.

Cheers!

I’m done with this thread, I don’t think I want to waste another few hours of my life going back and forth with obtuse posters.

For the record, I was referring to Todd being the kept man. I saw his interview where he let it be known that they chose the celebrity lifestyle for the $$$$$$$ so my opinion of the Palins isn’t that high anymore.

Your post was snarky about Anita’s looks and it backfired. For someone who is almost 60 she looks damn good. I would rather Anita Perry as First Lady than Todd Palin as First Dude after seeing the video. She has some real substance in her own right from what I’ve read.

Yeah, right.

You know, her getting those big imporant health-care posts is about as impressive as Michelle Obama's position at the Chicago Hospital after Barack Abyss Obaama became U.S. Senator.

Incidentally -- my original question STILL stands. Most male politicians bring their wives along as a prop on stage. I read about it once, one of the politician's wives was complaining, that whenever she got introduced, it was merely, "And here is his lovely wife."

For some reason, nobody dares to try a patronizing stunt like that on Todd.

Must have something to do with that Alaska sled race. Todd rode hundreds of miles of that snowmobile race with a broken arm: no political favors exist there, it's just your own will and toughness vs. the elements.

And people can tell that presence in person.

Nice loyal try for your homeboy, but you FAIL.

Cheers!

Whatever, I’m not going in circles for hours, it’s a poor use of time.

Keep believing the BS spewed in the film. The real video you should look up is the one where Todd was confronted by an Alaskan citizen who asked if they sold out for the money and Todd made it clear that is what they did. My opinion of the Palins changed when I saw that and not in a positive way.

Blow smoke and retreat, troll boy.

The Palins made their money in the private sector.

As they are entitled to, and as is proper.

Kind of poetic justice for the Alinsky lawsuits from Dem operatives designed to destroy her politically AND personally.

So she took the lemons life handed her, returned them, and made fresh chocolate chip cookies instead.

But Perry?

"He just manages to fall into these deals over the years," said Houston accountant Bob Martin, who helped analyze 18 years' worth of Perry's tax returns for the AP. "It looks like his net worth increased while he was in office, in the relative scheme of things, on a small salary." Perry made about $85,000 a year as agriculture commissioner and currently draws $150,000 annually as governor, but as a legislator and lieutenant governor, he was making a part-time salary of just $7,200.

Perry's biggest real estate pay day came in 2007, when he sold two-thirds of an acre of lakefront property he had acquired in 2001 from his friend Troy Fraser, a Republican state senator who owns a nearby tract in Horseshoe Bay in Central Texas. Perry sold the property in March 2007 for $1.14 million - for a profit of $823,766, tax records show.

Pretty good to buy an acre of lakefront property for about $1,140,000 - $823,766 = $316,000 (he'd only been governor for a year, remember, how'd he get THAT kind of money?) and then sell it in six years for a quick *three-bagger*.

Yeah, not even the CHANCE of anything sleazy-looking there, right?

(Unless, of course, he had been sponging all those years off of his *wife*'s salary. It'd be interesting to see what her career trajectory looked like as Rick climbed the ladder, just like Hillary or like Michelle Obaama.)

You fail at innuendo.

You gotta learn to stop shooting blanks. You'll lose badly.

Cheers!
