Mayor Jim Tipple did the right thing.

On the whole, I agree with you. However, considering that MY personal tax dollars are used by the city to co-sponsor the event there is one of two options available — the unions sponsoring can PAY for the services they will be using, or they can accept some of my tax dollars, but abide by our local public policy... One or the other... I don’t think it’s good precedent to FORCE people to invite others. But, the precedent of the town co-sponsoring a partisan political event, IMHO, would be even worse...

Most of those who go to the fag parade do it for the sheer outrageousness of the participants. That neighborhood is heavily fag as well.
