AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Wrong again. He was never “for” gay marriage. He is FOR states rights. But then that concept is a little above your paygrade isn’t it, Temper?
Are you aware of the significance of THAT PARTICULAR BUILDING or not?
I wish the media would ask him to follow up on his position on this matter I bet he would squirm and FLIP-FLOP like a worm.
I’m guessing he won’t.
Now,While the ground breaking that Perry attended is serious,
Let’s not forget, that Texas also busted some huge Jihadi funding fronts.
It’s a stupid question.
Agreed!
Back when Perry supported the 10th Amendment. Now he’d probably support a Constitutional amendment outlawing mosques within X miles of ground zero.
Rick Perry’s NAFTA superhighway that was mandated by congress in 1991 and dropped in his lap — INTERSTATE 69?
Why is it a stupid question? Are you unaware, or are you afraid to answer the question?
That is NOT what Perry “thinks” and you know it.
Spoken like a true "politician"! What a canard!
It seems that with each day we discover Pandering Mitt Perry has sunken to a new low. I don’t know about you but I know I am not surprised.
BTW, have you ever been to the Az Memorial?
The place is swarming with Japanese.
Oh sheesh, go take a chill pill.
Of course I know. Now go away.

You can’t have it both ways, Temper. Either we get abortion overturned by the Supreme Court, which means it then goes to the individual states to allow or disallow it...same with gay marriage that is CURRENTLY a state issue, you now want it to be a federal one so big government can decide what’s best?
Oh, they will bring it up.
Is a Shinto priest there leading prayer services for a false god and exhorting the congregation to hate Americans?
... you’re turning into a tempest in a teapot.
See your back to your favorite lib MSM sources. How so conservative of you.
RE: He is FOR states rights. But then that concept is a little above your paygrade isnt it, Temper?
The number faux conservatives I see lately are alarming. And they don’t realize they are simply statists of a different shade, like Obama, Pelosi, Kerry, McCain, Graham, et. al., bent on imposing their version of the contra-constitutional federal government on the states.
I say piss on all statists, regardless of their stripes.
