AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Perry did agree with them and stated so very plainly. Look:
Im a big believer in freedom of religion but believe it would be best for all involved to put the facility elsewhere, Perry said. However, zoning is a local responsibility and as a staunch supporter of the 10th Amendment, I do not think the federal government should take steps to intercede or overrule the wishes of local residents. The citizens of New York City will decide the fate of this building.*********
He said in plain English that he thought it should be moved, but rightfully didn't think the Fed should have a role in the issue.
I'm not sure what the problem is here, aside from the fact that it seems the OP feels he needs to resort to deception to make a point.
The Apostle Paul used to track down and murder Christians.
What was the point you trying to make?
“It seems that with each day we discover Pandering Mitt Perry has sunken to a new low. I dont know about you but I know I am not surprised.”
Like storming Norman said “the best is yet to come” ,Chameleon Ricky is working on his Conservative act.
You didn’t follow the links because you know they prove you wrong. In the end, all you have is your warped version of reality and the words of some banty-rooster poster who hurls insults from the safety of his home. You cannot support anything you say and you ignore all proof to the contrary. That is all you have. It makes you look more than weak, it makes you look foolish. But if that’s what it takes for you to maintain support for RINO Rick then have at it.
You of course would be wrong about that. At this point all I've decided is who I won't voter for. I just get sick and tired of Perry bashers digging up the tiniest morsel they think might tarnish his image. This article is a prime example. There's NOTHING here. ONLY a headline. A headline it would seem designed to strengthen the Dim loser White's credentials in a very conservative state.
Newsflash. The last two Republican presidents came from your state. And they weren't all that.
Who might those be? The guy from Maine or the transplant?
Were it truly an assault, yes.
How does Ick perry the political weather vane reconcile his 10th amendment stance by supporting gay marriage for New Yorkers than signing a pledge to enact a constitutional amendment against gay marriage.
John Kerry was a flip-flopper. RINO Rick is a Chameleon.
Paul wasn't running for office.
And Saint Ricky isn't saving souls.
You should really be thankful that now your dreams can come true, right? Mr. Hair won't interfere with your plans.
Uh...not that there's anything wrong with you being gay...
“it’s all about getting a smear out for the public to consume like a bunch of gossiping old hens.”
So.....lying their filthy azzes off?
Context, please.
“There’s a handful with Perry Derangement Syndrome and I suspect that they are the reincarnations of Dane, Kevin Curry, and Robert Paulson long gone drug warriors.”
They are posting crap and taking positions that they know are false. My children learned better logic in the 9th grade than these Freeper use. Yeah, Rick = Obama because they agreed once. Here’s the thing about this story. Either Tempest is too stupid to understand it or he thinks everybody else is. Looking at the totality of his posting history, I’m going to have to chose the former.
The poster you are referring to was simply defending Perry’s stance on the principles espoused in the Constitution (you remember that document from the eighteen century and its amendments)—in this case, the 10th. The poster in no way was disrespecting anyone. Your pretend offense is amusing.
“Like storming Norman said the best is yet to come ,Chameleon Ricky is working on his Conservative act.
John Kerry was a flip-flopper. RINO Rick is a Chameleon.”
LOL LOL LOL LOL Great one!!!!!!
How old are you?
I lose respect for Texans more each day on these threads.
Who’s spinning?
3/4 of the States is a majority.
What Perry said was the rule of law.
New York as a State has the right to choose whether or not they want to legalize gay marriage.
He said he was fine with NY doing what that State had a right to do.
Supporting a Constitutional Amendment to ban Gay Marriage would change the law of the land. But again, it would take 3/4 of the states to agree OR the majority of the states.
I don’t see a conflict with this. If you do - that’s fine.
If you do not want to vote for Perry - don’t!
But don’t try to belittle me or people who feel differently.
“OMG! And he flip flopped on it, too, didnt he?”
Well he was wearing flip flops!
It’s Governor Goodhair. It has been for years. Jealous much?
