Thanks for the reply Charles.

since illegals would probably want to become legal, I don’t see much chance that they would lie about wanting to be legal just to get into college, but I suppose it could happen.

I don't see how you can prove that a person did not intend to apply for legal status "at the earliest opportunity that I am eligible to do so," which might mean when amnesty occurs. Maybe a Texas legal expert could help me out.

My view is that a "dream act" acts as a foot in the door for general amnesty. The existence of such a program creates the need for more money spent on new college studies programs, and leftist professors find receptive minds among students who were put on the path by other leftist organizations. When they graduate, they need a visa, a "jobs program," a "path to citizenship."

Perry may not know that this "intent to apply for legal residence" loophole is in the program. Or maybe I have overlooked something, and there is no problem at all.

VICENTE FOX: I’m talking about a community of North America, an integrated agreement of Canada, the United States, and Mexico in the long term

RICK PERRY:President Fox’s vision for an open border is a vision I embrace, as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it.

so Perry embraced the vision for a North American “community”/UNION

So you aren’t missing anything. Perry is for open borders admitted out of his own mouth
