“... if he was in, or associated with the US military”.
With hair that long? Does the military allow longer hair styles for men? (I truly don’t know the answer but I have only seen the military with short hair)
Associated at best, maybe he has a Wife in the Service. That haircut, or lack of is decidedly not USA Military issue.
“In the video, he speaks American black English, and acts “inner city”. This is bad. The only reason I can think that such a person would be in Korea would be if he was in, or associated with, the US military.”
That was my first thought also until I watched the video in which his appearance and demeanor convinces me he is not in or connected with the military.
One would hope that he was arrested and handed over to Korean authorities for justice.
People like him are bad enough here but doubly embarrassing representing our country overseas.
"more detail: The foreigner in question is 24 years old, an American, and an English teacher. The victim was 61. This went down around 11:10pm Saturday on the bus from Moran Station to Bundang. One of the bus passengers called 112 (Five-Oh), and the bus driver stopped the bus in front of a nearby police station, where the foreigner was arrested. After completing their preliminary investigation, the police let the alleged ruffian go, but plan to call him in again tomorrow for further investigation."I haven't found the actual source yet.. but this is what was said over on LiveLeak..
‘...he speaks American black English, and acts “inner city”...’
I think that’s called Ebonics or Blackinese!
Korea is a popular tourist attraction these days, there are “african american-korean tourist” sites online
I thought the same. Hope he’s not military.
