A recoil pad of any kind makes a Mosin easier and more fun to shoot.

I didn’t do the mail order thing. I spotted one (and it does say LimbSaver on it) at Wal-Mart, and it sure seems like it will cushion a whole lot of recoil. Will check it out as soon as I can get back to the range.
