And your point is? There are plenty of people around me that can't afford to buy or rent where I live in central PA. They can live in Harrisburg cheaply if they want, but not in the township where I live. There are also plenty of places where I can't afford to live. I'm taking care of my family and helping my neighbors. I see no need to have my hard earned money to be confiscated by the federal government, washed through Washington, DC only to see pennies on the dollar make it to NC. If things were really bad in NC, I'd consider giving to a good and efficient charity to get results. But this storm isn't that bad. It is a bit more worse than a Nor'easter in the dead of winter. Folks in NC can take care of their own in this case.
This nation has turned into a bunch of wussies that need to suck from the teat of government for everything. It is as if no one can do anything or survive anything without the help of the government.
