Heck yeah they are—and we all know it. Five minutes in the real world tells you all you need to know. With a few aberrant exceptions, Obama is despised from coast to coast. Granted, the moonbats despise him for different reasons, but from what I’ve seen the revulsion runs nearly as deep as ours.
I keep seeing posts to the effect, ‘Yeah, but they’ll vote for him anyway’. Actually, no they won’t. Some will vote green in protest, and some will write in a name or stay home. They could forgive him for trying and failing, but what they cannot forgive is a golfer/vacationer in chief who, in their view, folds immediately in any stand-off, because he (1) lacks the conviction to fight for the progressive agenda and (2) prioritizes his ‘down’/play/party-time.

Agree completely.
Something funny is going on with gallups numbers recently, they used to be fairly close to rasmussens (who I really trust), and if anything skewed more positive for Obama. But a few weeks ago something changed, and ever since then they have been considerably lower than everyone else.
I am not one of those people who only believe polls when I agree with their results. But I am always suspicious when one is a consistent outlier like gallup has been recently. Especially if they have a history of favoring democrats.
So how does or can reporting Obamas number worse than they really are help Obama? well ive been thinking on this, and here is a possible way they could. By reporting Obamas numbers as worse than they are now, they can create an artificial comeback later when needed.....
I know... it’s out there, and more than likely they just need to tweak their methods to bring them in live with everyone else that has had Obama down in the low to mid 40s consistently during the last few weeks.
But, like I said I am suspecious.
I agree with you that the polls have been strange but I see Rasmussen as being the outlier. His is the ONLY poll that has shown very little if any drop in Obama’s overall approval rating since late-2009. He had him at mid-40’s then. Every single bit of circumstantial evidence that is out there suggests that Obama’s support has dropped considerably yet Ras does NOT show that.
Like the earthquake.
