I don’t think I can take anymore of the East Coast news media’s hysteria. This does not appear to be a cataclysmic event and can be adequately covered by local news with hourly updates for the rest of us. I pray all are safe, but come on people. There are other news stories out there. I’ve had Fox on for two hours and still don’t know if the world is spinning outside of NYC. Putting on my flame retardant suit.

I’m on Boston’s North Shore and we’re not getting much of anything yet. Maybe there will be 40-60mph wind gusts later. We get those from “nor’easters” or sometimes a bad thunderstorm. At least where I am it’s probably drizzle and 10 mph winds...now.

Boston TV in particular has done storm-alarm stuff for years, especially snow storms/ blizzards. Ch 4 reporter Shelby Scott, now retired, used to be sent out in the storm to show how bad it was. And the snow seemed kinda deep but then again
Shelby was probably 5 feet even on a good day, so maybe it seemed a big exaggerated.
