Aloha, Biglook! The wind is finally picking up here. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge was closed about 90 minutes ago - 65-80 mph winds there - would blow a car right off into the drink. Will be in the walker for a couple of days in all likelihood. Hope all is well with you!

In the midst of this storm, members of the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) continue to stand guard over the Tomb of the Unknowns as they have done for over three quarters of a century. God Bless them and may they continue their mission forever!

Never liked the Chesapeake Bay Bridge even on balmy day......guess it takes some getting used to if you're going to transit it often.

I've been on the phone to my brother in upstate NY early this weekend after hearing Irene may make a sudden left turn and head up the Hudson. It's raining there but not from the tropical storm, from another low coming in from the west. More worries.

But this is the Sunday Chapel thread, so let me pray that all goes well for all in path of the storm, Lord hear my prayer, and get Geraldo off the air.
