I could have stayed though the threat was that Bloomberg was going to cut the power in our area (Zone A). Plus, there’s no way to get around without the subways and all the restaurants and shops were closing in my neighborhood. So I felt I really didn’t have much choice.

People were fighting in front of Food Emporium this morning. Lines stretched out from the store and onto the sidewalk. I did see a lot of people on the street carrying home 12-packs of beer.

You know, as someone from the south, I try to understand people who live in the north in heavily populated cities.
But I’m sorry, that’s pathetic. You have no transportation on your own and no food?
