Excuse me, but the Obama’s don’t celebrate Christmas. More likely don’t even believe in it. So why are they taking a big celebratory break in Hawaii? Why don’t they just go home and enjoy being at home? They haven’t spent more than 5 days in their own home in three years.

Trips to Spain, trips to the Pyramids, trips to Africa, shopping trips to London and Paris and yet they take the big Christmas celebratory trip to Hawaii when they don’t even exchange gifts under a lit up palm tree.

I had mother daughter time with my mother all my life. We didn’t need to go fly here or there to have it. We had our time on the front porch, walking downtown, talking in the living room, etc...bunch of malarky is all that is. Mother Daughter time can be ANYTIME, ANYPLACE and... FREE!!!

You can't schedule mother/daughter moments. All moms know some of the best conversations they've ever had with their children happen in the car doing mundane errands. There is something about a mom with her eyes on the road that inspires all sorts of confidences and bonding opportunities. It doesn't require over the top extravagant vacations. I feel sorry for the Obama girls.

First Lady Michelle Obama Slipped out of Washington unnoticed Monday for a secret trip to visit her brother, Oregon State University men’s basketball coach Craig Robinson, at his home on Corvallis, Ore. Mrs. Obama reportedly jetted into the Eugene Airport, landing at about 11 am PDT.

She and family members then headed out in a 11 vehicle motorcade for the ride to Corvallis. The White House has so far said little about the trip, which was unannounced. It’s unclear how long the vacation will last. Mrs. Obama and family members flew on a Boeing C-40B, the military version of a 737 that serves as Air Force 2.

Mrs. Obama has in the past incurred criticism for her travels, including an early departure for her most recent Hawaiian vacation and a luxurious 2010 trip to Spain.

Most of the costs of her travel are borne by taxpayers. The C-40B included a flight crew of eight to 10 people, according to one report. Mrs. Obama is traveling with one of her daughters – it’s unclear which one – and her mother. President Obama remains on his own in Washington................

So this year, thanks to the “Obama economy”, my wife and I will try to stay out of the campgrounds that generally cost $40 to $60 per night, and instead we will park along the side of a road, boon-dock (no hookups), truck stops, friends homes, and park in Walmart parking lots.

Instead of traveling through 8 to 10 states, we will keep it down to about two.

As for our wardrobe issues, 4 shirts, 2 pair of shorts, one sweats outfit, two pair on “no big deal” shoes. Oh, and our security, two guns, my wife and I.... and a German Shepherd dog. Fishing gear included.

Other than gas, we won’t be supporting the tourist industry much this year. I doubt that we will visit a restaurant during this month long trip more than twice.

My Airstream trailer is only 25’ long, so we won’t be able to take our many servants with us.

You see, we have to cut back in preparation for the tax increases we expect to be hit with... thanks to Obama and his POS democrats.

I recognize that, “for now”, I am blessed and more fortunate than some, but for us, I expect to spend only 1/4 (at the most) of what we normally spend on vacation.... even so, I’ll bet we have much more fun that the filthy Obama family and on the day we return, we will have smiles on our faces instead of the scowls those bugs left with on their way back to our White House.

—One last difference in our vacation. I have a total of 62 birds, chickens, ducks and geese. I do this for fun and in readiness for the bad times I believe are on the way. One of my cute 3 month old ducks is sick, so we will be taking her (Frosty) with us on the trip.

Unlike Obama, I won’t be stressed with interruptions on the golf course (I don’t golf), about things I know nothing about and don’t have a clue how to handle, instead, my greatest concern will be how my dog responds to having a duck for a travel partner....yes, I’m crazy, but... no guts, no glory. ;>)

My suspicion is that after he gets voted out of office next year, a divorce soon will follow. I suspect their marriage is a sham, and that is one of the reasons for the separate plane rides and also the frequent separate Four Star vacations by her. Time will tell.
