What really amazes me is how many people have accepted at face value this notion that CO2 is a greenhouse gas without bothering to check out the chemistry for themselves. Just more evidence that stupid people shouldn’t breed......

But Al Gore said so! And Al Gore is a selfless genius/saint who has no agenda except to save the planet for future generations. How could anyone possible question Al Gore? Except those greedy Big Oil companies.

To this day, on every package or envelope I mail out (occasional eBayer) I write the words "Save the Naughas!" somewhere near the label. This is in honor of a couple of college students from the '70s (I think).

They got fed up with all the campus wingnuts protesting every foolish enviro claim. So . . . they enlarged a picture of a Gekko, called it a "Naugha" and went to work. They set up placards with the pic of the "Naugha" and the "Save the" routine, claiming that thousands of these poor creatures were being slaughtered to make Naugahyde coverings for furniture. They joined the protesting enviros. Yep, in no time at all, they had a bunch of these brainless idiots chanting "save the Naughas!"

I don't think the idiots ever caught on.
