Agreed and add in the economy in general such as rising prices, the need to access our own energy here, burdensome regulations and the EPA pushing people around, we may have a winner.

Yeah, maybe one way to solve the marriage issue once and fo all is to amend the Constitution (like Russia and Serbia did to theirs) but the other side of me wonder s if that is wise. I know under our legal system, it should be left to the States although here in Penna, I would vote against same sex marriage, but I do understand we might lose a State or three. It's a tough call sometimes, my own morality standards are high, but there are times I do ask, "should the government enforce every little one of them or should some of that come from the bottom up," meaning from the people themselves where the society is self regulating. The stickler is the gay lobby uses judges and intimidation to force it down our throats, that is just plain wrong too.

Some say, "the powers that be," are using the gay agenda to bring down Western Civ and America, I cannot argue against it but if and when they get their way, they will most likely throw the gays under the bus. Most leftist regimes are anti-gay, the Nazis killed them, the USSR send them to the gulags for 8 years of hard labor and so on, so they need to be careful themselves.

It's a shame that they, like all of us, should keep it private and in their homes as it should be.

Under the American system, and I think under natural law, private mutually consented to adult gay behavior is unfortunate, but it is a right, like alcohol abuse or viewing pornography is a right. The oppressive regimes punished gays simply for being gays, just like they punished other social classes or ethnicities. Legislations like Defense of Marriage Act does not punish them at all, it simply states what marriage is and isn’t.
