This is why I no longer pledge or give for friends who are doing the Komen Walk thingie. My friends might not understand, bu I do.
The headline lies. Susan G. Komen croaked in 1980, she didn’t donate squat to PP in 2009 or 2010. Maybe the Foundation did, but that’s not what the headline says.
Can I ask a stupid question of someone?
How can the Susan G. Komen organization give money to Planned Parenthood? If donors give money to the Susan G. Komen organization, isn’t that organization required to spend that money as designated by donors, not turn around and give it to another organization? Or is Planned Parenthood somehow involved in breast cancer research? This article makes it sound like the Susan G. Komen organization is subsidizing Planned Parenthood, and it’s hard to believe that it’s legal to take donations and turn around and give it to some unrelated organization.
I'm a life long runner and komen is a ripoff!!! They advertise and hold races and walks to to raise money to pay salaries, to run ads, to hold races, to raise money to pay salaries!!! They call it "Awareness"
If you combine the local affiliates and the national only 10% goes “research”, and or abortion grants.
They are a ripoff!
Haven’t given one red cent to this pink bow bunch in years because they are just a front for abortion.
So, money that is donated for breast cancer research and treatment is given to Planned Parenthood for abortions? No more donations from my family.
