In 2008 I had a friend with a nice car (Nissan Altima) who got a Palin bumper sticker.
I congratulated him, but warned him not to take it downtown for any length of time. Sure enough - it got scratched up while parked.
For all I know that happens to my truck all the time, I just can't tell.
The only place that I had a problem was after we moved to Myrtle Beach, SC from Charlotte, NC. I have had Sarah 2012 bumper stickers on my cars and boat since 2008 and drove in and around some of the worst neighborhoods in Charlotte without incident. Within the first couple of weeks at an upscale condo in Myrtle Beach, some lefty tourist ripped one off.
