Yeah, “It’s about time” = It’s about time.

“It’s about dang time” = It’s ‘way past time!!

If Texas wants to be eaten last, I supposed it has to appease the rampaging beast. Cowardly, but it buys some time.

You’re right. Not only Texas, but also all the states need to assert their rights and defy this lawless communist dictatorship NOW, not later, or we’re going to lose our country.

Just so. Even blue states could benefit from the states reclaiming their rightful powers. They could legislate decadence and degeneracy to their heart's content while the red states tend to business. Any doubts how that would turn out???

The Texas Railroad Commission, which is responsible for coal mining operations in Texas, urged the attorney general to take action against the EPA.

There's coal mining in Texas? Who knew?

Not really coal, but lignite.

There are large lignite deposits in East Texas which serve as fuel for a number of huge base-load power plants.

The power plant is built in the middle of the deposit, whereupon it starts to literally consume its environment.

Come back in 10 years and it’s 1000 feet below grade? ;-)

Gov. Perry talks a good game. We’ll see.

Gov. Perry talks a good game. We’ll see.

The way things are looking now we may indeed get a chance to see, but Nov '12 is a lifetime away and a lot can happen between now and then. JMHO and FWIW, I believe Rick Perry is near enough to being the real deal that the nation would fare well and conservatives would be more pleased than not under a Perry presidency. He is certainly a far cry from the low life marxist trash currently infesting the White House.

The fact that Perry has come under serious attack by the dinomedia lends credence to the notion he's a viable threat to the status quo and the DC cabal. That's ALMOST good enough for me. Fact is, regardless of who boots the usurper, he/she will need some additional help from a larger house majority and significant gains in the senate. Gutting the bloated DC bureaucracy would be a good start for a new sheriff and his posse.
