Goolsbee in his own words: "In the year 2010 which is when most of the clips when the president was saying we were going to grow again. We were growing and over that 17 months we added two-and-a-half million jobs.

"Now, at the beginning of this year we get earthquakes, tsunamis, revolutions in the Middle East, European financial crises, now they even have earthquakes out of Washington, D.C. I mean, we've had a series of things that have put some heavy blows and slowed the economy back down again. But, I think it's a little -- I don't think you want to confuse something that is way down and starting to grow out."

I guess they figured after last November blaming GWB for everything under the sun wasn’t working anymore.

But, Mr Goolsbee, Paul Krugman insists that without those events our economy would be worse!

Swiped from another website:

Krugman would claim that the paying someone to reset the chair would improve the economy.

Next up on the blame list is Hurricane Irene. Since he became president and the libs were in power we’ve had tornados, earthquakes, floods, drought, hurricanes, dust storms. and a failing economy. Connect the dots.

Luck (bad or otherwise) has nothing to do with coherent economic policy and the subsequent results.

Elementary school girls don’t whine like this bunch.

My GOD in heaven, I’ve NEVER in my life seen anyone so unwilling to accept responsibility for anything like this administration. Please, please tell me people in this country won’t be so damn stupid as to reelect this moron.

Sure, Japanese car sales slowed down. But why didn’t Americans buy US or Euro cars?

Anrthony Sanders at George Mason Unoiversity pointed out that the housing bubble was really a credit bubble. And once a credit bubble bursts, you have a dead recovery until we get over the addiction to cheap debt. But credit is still tight. THAT, Austan you Marxist twerp, is the REAL reason.

***Bush had 9/11 & Katrina and still a good economy for most of his tenure.***

The economy went into freefall about March or April 2000 under Clinton’s administration. Billy did nothing to stop it.
