I’m so very sorry to hear that. It can be dangerous for people with an illness to be without power. We lost it for 3 days and thank God, we are healthy.
In case people wonder, my uncle was a confirmed bachelor. And his family - many siblings - is spread all over the country.
(And, BTW, as “conservative” as could be!)
Power out in the summer here or the winter can be bad. Never seems to happen in the moderate months!
