Well, that’s wrong. And, also the WWII did help us get out of the depression. If you destroy Europe and they can make things, your gonna do well, no matter what.

The article notes that before the US got involved, the industrial demands of the war from europe drove GDP growth to 19% - that's huge and will get you out of a depression fast! Actually getting ourselves into the war, not as good economically.

This is the corollary of the broken window theory. If you break someone else's window, and you are the only window maker, it helps you. Is there a net overall economic gain, no.

Then finding a country or two to destroy and rebuild should be an excellent way out of our current economic slump, no?
