The point is she signed this dud into law, and it was then turned around on her as a battering ram. That is a fair point to make in discussing whether or not she’s fit for higher office.
She had the right to quit, but the public has the right to discuss this issue if she does run.
I’ve read that law. Well, some parts read and some parts skimmed. The defect isn’t obvious, even to a trained, focused attorney. Like software, some bugs just don’t show up till you run the code in real life (I also write software). She doesn’t work with the attorney who wrote that law anymore, to the best of my knowledge. Be that as it may, it is a good law, and has the capacity to prevent the kind of corruption that was paralyzing AK before her reform effort. In succeeding with getting that reform passed, she has nothing to be ashamed of, other than relying on a slightly less than perfect attorney, and many fine leaders must endure that same risk, unfortunately.
