Let’s say SP decides to jump in the presidential race. Obviously the first casualty will be Michelle Bachmann and eventually some of the other Tea Party favorites such as Herman Cain. SP will literally suck the oxygen out of their campaigns.

Longer term, I think SP will hurt Rick Perry taking conservative support away from him and therefore assuring Romney the nomination.

I think the longer she stays out the less she affects the others. Some people pick a candidate and commit to them regardless of who else may jump in, especially during the primaries when we can vote for who we want and not for the lesser of the evils.

Perry is no conservative, and none of his supporters are either. He takes votes from Romney or viceversa, but he takes few from Palin.

Palin’s votes will come from voters with a higher moral and functionality standard than the also-rans and RINOs.

The “get’er done” votes will only go to Palin, and if she’s not in, they probably won’t waste their time voting for Rickmit RomPerry.
