Karl Rove responds to controversy over his speculation if Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin will indeed enter the GOP field. Rove said chances are she will jump in, but was not definitive in his observation.
"I'm mystified," Rove said about reaction to his speculation. "Look, she is all upset about this saying how I am trying to sabatouge her in some way. How do I speculate on her future."
"Look, if she doesn't want to be speculated about a potential presidential candidate there is an easy way to end the speculation. Simply say 'I'm not running.' Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye like she did on CNN, at the Iowa State fair a short number of days ago. she said 'I haven't made a decision.'"
"I'm just speculating that more likely than not she is going to be a candidate."
"Now I said 'I wouldn't bet a lot of money on it' because it is such a close thing and I am not privy to her thought-making process. But it is sign of enormous thin-skin that if we speculate about her, she gets upset. And I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she would be upset and getting ways to get us to speculate about her."

Oh wow....I didn't know that Sarah and SarahPAC could "allow" me to do or not do anything! Let me call her and see if this is in fact true...
She's also been very candid about her deadline of the end of September to say whether or not she is running.
How that divides I have no idea. If she runs, that will divide her from those who support other candidates, but that's true of any candidate, I'm not sure how you construe that as negative. She'll have to make her case just like all of them if she runs. Then the GOP base will vote on what they see, and only one of them will get the nomination............................Duh, *laughs at self*)
So, Palin is criticizing GOP candidates while sitting on the sidelines as well.

I believe the context was a question from a reporter, she was asked about differences between her and Michele Bachmann and she answered that Michele Bachmann had no executive experience.
Big whoop, particularly since it's obviously true. She did not seek the question out, nor ask it, nor prompt it, she simply answered it.
You seem to be pretending that's somehow "criticizing" in an unfair way. Why? Kindly explain the problem and the animus here.
I don’t think her criticizing Bachmann is unfair at all. It’s called politics. I do think that some of the Palinbots in this thread personally insulting fellow FReepers for some minor criticism of Sarah Palin to be below the belt, though.
As I posted earlier, apparently every other GOP candidate or rumored candidate is OK to criticize, yet if anybody mentions Palin in anything other than reverance, it’s flame wars with some of them. I think you’re being fair in our debate, and I appreciate that, so thank you.
I can tell you, the vast majority of her supporters will go a long way to debate evenly, but there was a small group (about a dozen or more) that made the Palin threads toxic with their trolling and nastiness over the past year. You may be experiencing a backlash from that.
Hang in there, if you're fair, virtually everyone will be fair back, if not you might get some extra flak.
Clarification: The small group was the anti-Palin group.

There was a small group of trolls that came on the Palin threads for a long, long time. They were led by the freeper formerly known as pissant.
Ah, thanks. pissant posted a ton of articles critical of Palin and deserved to be banned, as he was. I think there is a big difference between his trolling and what happened in this thread, but I’m guessing you agree with me on that point.
I gotta run, like I said, as long as you’re fair you’ll get good discussion from most.

I am thoroughly sick of all of the Fox personalities. I haven't watched Fox since they deliberately chose NOT to report on Obama’s non-natural born, and possible non-citizenship status.
I literally pray every day that God will raise up an free, Internet based, 24hour news channel that will sink Fox News like a German sub.
Hannity?....I can't even stand to hear that coward's voice.
We were traveling yesterday. This morning in the hotel my husband turned on Fox. He went to take a shower and I immediately turned the channel and watched an info-commercial on the Genie-bra. ( Really!)

Absolutely correct! Some of Carling’s comments are nonsensical or even looney, but he prides himself in trying to school others...kinda like Rove, eh?
