Secretary of State: Michigan needs help to make sure non-citizens, dead people don't vote

Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says Michigan has no plans to offer online voter registration, arguing the state needs to improve security in the voting process before introducing new technology.

"There's nothing that's more important to the foundation of our democracy, our republic, our country than making sure our votes are clean and also encouraging people to vote," she told WJR-AM 760 host Frank Beckmann on Monday. "It's always a balancing act."

Rock the Vote, a non-partisan national group that encourages young people to participate in elections, has called Michigan's voting laws outdated and suggested this week that technology could allow the state to reduce barriers to participation.

Michigan SOS Ruth Johnson made a name for herself fighting vote fraud at the hands of both ACORN and the fake tea party in Michigan.

She proves why secretary of state elections are important.

“could allow the state to reduce barriers to participation.”

There are no barriers to participation. You walk to your local town or city hall, fill out a simple form and you’re registered. If you move, you walk to your new town or city hall, fill out a simple form and and you’re registered.

Then, generally twice a year you walk to your local polling place and cast a ballot.

There are only barriers in front of those who cannot LEGALLY vote. And that’s as it should be.

The state asked the Social Security Administration to help identify non-residents registered to vote, but Johnson said they formally denied the request. She now is calling on the Department of Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement to aid the effort.

I'm guessing they she won't be getting any help from Homeland Security of immigration either.

Seems she's a Republican so it's more likely she is serious about rampant Rat vote fraud. Had to look to find her party.

She actively ran against the Soros funded Secretary of state project because she and the new attorney general were both targets of fraud. We now have two Oakland county democrat officials facing multiple counts of fraud and an ongoing investigation.

I’ve heard behind the scenes that Ruth’s the real deal on this stuff. Can you imagine if Soros lackey and East Coast Transplant professor Benson won? That would have sucked. Bigtime.

Benson was the worst of the worst. I’d love it if the fraud investigation went back to her. At least one of the guys charged did work for her.

Johnson was the real gem of our last election in my opinion.

says Michigan has no plans to offer online voter registration
Also, the polls need to close at a uniform time -- no more of this "Detroit votes until midnight so we know how many votes to manufacture" bull-.

Yep - Once a Democrat, Always a Democrat. That doesn't change even in death - it's only right that the loyal dead Democrats have their say.
