I posted this on another thead. I'm posting it again here.

I will personally make every effort to raise the level of discourse on the Palin and Perry threads. We must hold ourselves and each other accountable to the standards we expect of FReepers. This is an important election season. The liberals want nothing more than to divide us. If we keep the discussions focused on the candidates, we can avoid division.
I haven't been here long enough to exerience a purge and I certainly don't want to experience one now. If things continue down hill between Perry and Palin supporters, it could lead to that. A purge of one group or the other will weaken FR. Let's not put Jim in that position. We need all the conservatives we can muster to defeat Obama and his minions. Let's encourage civility and discourage personal attacks. We shouldn't have to ask Jim and the mods to police these threads.

Obama is anti-american. He's the closest to Chavez we ever had. He by-passes Congress on very important issues and policies. He ignores the US Constitution. He went to the United Nations and made a complaint against a US State (Arizona). Look how he passed Obamacare and Work Visas for illegals. By setting presedence he is destroying the way policies are put into law in this nation. What other changes to our process is he going to make before 2012 let alone before 2016?

God forbid if a RINO wins the nomination like Karl Rove would like to see but I have to agree with you, BuckeyeTexan...

Whoever wins: Perry or Palin (who has yet to even announce). Either one has my vote over CHANGE that we've been seeing these last 3 years.

We should not be throwing the baby (our political system) out with the bath water (the imperfect GOP Candidate).
