Karl Rove responds to controversy over his speculation if Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin will indeed enter the GOP field. Rove said chances are she will jump in, but was not definitive in his observation.
"I mystified," Rove said about his speculation. "Look, she is all upset about this saying how I am trying to sabatouge her in some way. How do I speculate on her future."
"Look, if she doesn't want to be speculated about a potential presidential candidate there is an easy way to end the speculation. Simply say 'I'm not running.' Instead, every time she pops up in the public eye like she did on CNN, at the Iowa State fair a short number of days ago. she said 'I haven't made a decision.'"
"I'm just speculating that more likely than not she is going to be a candidate."
"Now I said 'I wouldn't bet a lot of money on it' because it is such a close thing and I am not privy to her thought-making process. But it is sign of enormous thin-skin that if we speculate about her, she gets upset. And I suspect if we didn't speculate about her, she would be upset and getting ways to get us to speculate about her."

What a dick
This was intentional on Rove’s part to promote the meme that she is thinned skin [shouted it 3 times]. He makes it a point to tactically harm any Tea Party Republican as well.
Greta had asked him why he felt it was that the slightest mention of Gov. Sarah Palin set the parallel worlds of political punditry and media mouthpieces into an instant tailspin.
For me, Gov. Sarah Palin has become a litmus test. I have found, since Nov. 2008 that those who understand and support her are true common sense Constitutional Reagan/Tea Party conservatives. Those who dont are something else. Communism is trying to overtake this country and the Palin-types are trying to defeat it. This naturally raises passions on both sides.
Palin was not objecting to the mere speculation. Here is the post from her PAC, not her words:
‘Setting The Record Straight: Wrong & Misleading
Posted on August 23, 2011
Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24 hour news cycle and that all Americans will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.
PS - Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight and including Governor Palin’s own words.’
If Palin doesn't want to be perceived to be a candidate, she needs to stop putting out videos like a candidate and acting like a candidate. It's time for her to fish or cut bait.

Yes. I am joking.
The President is only as powerful as the people in Congress who will support them. Without the right thinking people in Congress, Sarah will not get one damn thing accomplished.
“To be fair, I didn’t see Rove claim to have inside info or try to mislead the public.
All he said was it looked like she might be running. Not a big deal.”
Not true at all...he said that it looks like she’s going to announce on September 3rd (which is innocent enough) but then went on to say that it will be her demise if she doesn’t. Setting her up for failure he was.
