I don’t know at all how these things work but there should be a set budget for Presidents and their families. Period. How they spend them I don’t care, but there should be a set amount and it should be what it is. Not a bottomless bucket of money.
Of course, I think each state should also pay all expenses except for the actual building costs for Congress. Whatever they want to spend on their representatives is fine with me. But I don’t see why FL or CA or TX should pay for the representatives for MA or RI or MI. I know it’s probably a drop in the bucket when you look at the entire budget, but I think it would send a very clear message. We are tired of you living like kings and queens at the paupers expense. There was a revolution fought over just this sort of thing.
It is called income in my house. The O Boy and Moochelle want to spend some of their hard earned income or savings on a vacation, fine. They want to try it with ours they shouldn't even get bus tickets to cross the street.
