Yup.

I take it for grated because I live in The Rainest City In The US.

There are creeks, ponds, streams and lakes everywhere. I was putting up a fence once and 'hit' water digging a post hole.

I frequent Mount Waialeale on the island of Kaua'i often. Averaging more than 452 inches of rain a year with a record 683 inches it's summit is the one of the rainiest spots on earth. It's a far cry from the desert in which I spend most of my time, however, lol.
