S&P Board Fires CEO For Telling The Truth, To Be Replaced With COO Of Citibank
Zero Hedge ^ | 8/22/2011 | Tyler Durden

So let us get this straight: in America when you dare to tell the truth, your career is over, while if you are a corrupt, lying, incompetent tax evader you not only get to be Treasury Secretary but likely will be on for life as long as you do the one duty you are entrusted with: pander to the interests of the Too Big To Fail financial institutions

We should be speechless but at this point we are well beyond the point of even caring.

The only question left in this entire farce is how long before S&P issues the following upgrade of the US:

"Great service, AAA+++ rating, immediate payment, would do business again!!!"

It really is getting to be Orwellian in so many ways. You do anything that dims the burnish of the Glory of The One, and you will face swift and sure retribution. We've got members of the media being harassed and ostracized and marginalized, officers of private businesses and institutions being summarily dismissed, the e-mails of private citizens hacked and made public, peaceful protesters of an overreaching and malignant federal government branded as traitors and “terrorists”. I really fear seeing next the hunting down of ordinary citizens in the streets to be “made an example of”. This is what Obama has wrought.

Of course. It's all just one big Potemkin village.
See my tagline.

Like I said before, look for retaliation from the feds for the S&P downgrade. You don’t get in the feds way without getting ran over.

More that a little curious that Blankfein got himself a hired gun D.C. lawyer on the same day. Something (phoney) has to be done to placate the masses who are just now realizing the big financial firms have taken us to the cleaners. It’s all an act.

“Alas, this is nothing but a case study of modern corporate reality in America: if you are not with the status quo, you are against it, and you are promptly booted out of it: anyone who does not share the visions of one glorious future built on ponzi schemes, houses of cards, and games of three card monte, will be promptly suicided, either physically or professionally.”

In addition to science by consensus, we now have business decisions by consensus. Ain’t crony capitalism aka fascism great.

Neat little trend starting...

Futures prices on the major indexes "guess" themselves higher over night only to close barely in the green. That gets labeled "stocks close higher - no recession in sight".

How long are we going to put up with this charade?

Telling the truth about the Obama Administration is clearly about has helpful to your career as telling the truth about the mafia.

I have known this since I was in short pants. It has cost me in my career, but that is ok.
