I was lucky in that I got sole custody of my son when my ex and I divorced. I was able to move from Virginia back to New Hampshire on my son's request.

It is good that you and your ex are discussing the important items. It can't be a good area to raise kids anymore. There was a lot of farmland there when I lived there. I know that Bell Labs was surrounded by corn fields, then. I understand it is surrounded by housing developments now.

There are good schools in Geneva, Naperville, St Charles, etc....but the taxes are outrageous. 10k a year on a 3000 sq foot house. I have less and less tolerance for the brutal winters so i would love to move to Virginia, Texas or Florida. There are still a good amount of jobs but I don’t know how much longer they can survive the tax factory that is Illinois. I have no idea how Quinn got re-elected

And you are correct, despite any marital differences the kids should and always will come first. I can’t believe how many divorced couples use the kids as pawns.
