Environmental Protection Agency today announced a comprehensive settlement with the Department of the Interior at schools in Indian Country, owned or operated by DOI's Indian Affairs tribal schools in Arizona and New Mexico-Navajo territory are impacted.
EPA conducted compliance inspections and data reviews at more than 100 DOI schools and public water systems. The settlement addresses all alleged violations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Emergency Planning and Community-Right-to-Know Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act's PCB provisions, and AHERA.

There is a ranceria a few miles from me. They weren’t subject to county and state standards when they built their housing. We commented that the water table was too high to put the well so close to the septic. They found problems with their well water and tried to blame it on grazers in the wilderness about 15 miles from their res.
If you knew the ins and out of this, the lawsuit would probably accomplish something the Dep't of the Interior or epa or both wanted, but could not achieve legislatively. But, now, they must follow the dictates of the court, now, ... dontchaknow.
That’s EXACTLY what happened here. The commie ‘RATS in the government sticking it to the taxpayers to help out their voter base.
