She was rejected so often she just made a game to resent it back out as a game. Eventually someone bit. Her story is a story of many first time authors. If there was a higher plan, she wouldn't have had to work for years just to find and agent for the book.
They had a good editor who saw the potential of the book when others couldn’t. She saw the author’s gift and made a masterpiece out of the book. And don’t discount the work of the copyeditors. This book was just about flawless, making it extremely easy to read. Book publishing is doing well these days because of such talented people, among other factors.
SIXTY? Wow. That’s incredible. It might be the best novel I’ve read in a long time, and I read a lot.
