I heard that quote live yesterday and it struck me. I suspect there are specific groups in the rebellion that are causing him to concider resigning.

Big time. They’ve claimed to have captured two on Gaddafi’s sons, and both of them are now free. The rebels are either lying, incompetent or easy to bribe. Maybe a combination of all three.

You got a half of equation right. AQ rebels are incompetent, NATO is lying. Government forces control Tripoli. And Soros'kitchen boy is once again exposed for what he is - a fool.
OTOH, NATO is not incompetent, only NATO's competence is in mass murder of civilians, they murdered more than 1000 last night.

This assault was timed with the approach from the west of the Berber tribeman now joining the fight.
The problem was that Qaddafi's Khamis Brigade did not surrender as reported and fought their way to Green Square, scattering the rebels who have taken up positions in friendly neighborhoods.
NATO had the locations of Khamis and Muhammad Qaddafi and al Sanussi. Fighters were sent to capture or kill them. Evidently Khamis Qaddafi and al Sanussi were killed, their bodies have been identified to NATO.
Muhammad was held under house arrest only and later freed after his brother Saif al-Islam sent armed troops. Saif al-Islam was never captured and now is at the Rixo Hotel showing himself off.
This raid will now turn into a roving street battle where NATO air support will have a big problem.
The fight is far from over.
