i adored Leon Uris. I read “Exodus” when i was 11.
My Dad’s friends told him i didn’t understand it,
so he quizzed me. i did. and quoted sections to prove my points.
this began my life of Israelphilia.
QB7 was where i stopped reading Uris. the Warsaw ghetto was too much for me.
and then, in the past 10 years, i learn about the “flip” side - Islam. including going inside a masjid for awhile, like Debbie Schussel.
As the Pope said in that old quote (badly paraphrased)- what remains after the part Islam copied, is evil.
Never read Exodus. Angry Hills, though, is a great read about Greece in WW II.
