Why do people DO these things?? I mean, RIP and sad and all that but geez, who decided this was a good idea to begin with?

Why do people DO these things??

When I was a young kid and my dad was on the Detroit police force, he used to take me to the Detroit Police Field Day at the old Tiger stadium or whichever one was being used back around 1958.

the last one he took me to there was a person spinning on some rope about a hundred feet in the air and the rope broke and he fell to the ground killing him/herself, don't really remember what sex.
